Among the films that have been most popular among European audiences who love authors or stories from Italy, those by Luca Guadagnino, Paola Cortellesi, Alice Rohrwacher, and Paolo Sorrentino stand out.
“Challengers,” Guadagnino’s co-production, is among the top three in 25 territories, while “There’s still tomorrow/C’è ancora domani” is among the top ten in 12 countries. “La chimera” appears among the top ten Italian titles in six territories, while “Parthenope” takes fourth place in Bulgaria and Sweden.
Stories that highlight the great personalities who – despite their different times and fields – have built Italy’s prestige worldwide are always fascinating.
Proof of this is the co-production “Ferrari,” which appears in one of the top three positions 17 times, and “The shadow of Caravaggio/L’ombra di Caravaggio”, which is among the top ten in the Czech Republic, a country that has proven to be very attracted to the culture and art of the Bel Paese.
